1 Pick a loft that suits your lifestyle and budget:
Start with a 100 year old building designed by the best architect of the day and re-designed by today’s innovative team at Alamo architects. Choose from among twenty innovative spaces, each one unique, to take advantage of and preserve the historic architectural details. All have outdoor spaces, either yards or covered patios where loading docks and railheads serviced the original building.
You can explore the types and locations of each individual floor plan on our website, or even better, make an appointment with our friendly sales staff at Downtown Dwellings to see all the architectural details in person. Just around the corner from Steelhouse lofts, Downtown Dwellings is not only a neighbor but has been a pioneer in helping develop this up and coming part of downtown San Antonio.
2 Add some Basement space:
At 50% the cost of our upstairs space, adding the adjoining space under your loft or flat makes infinite sense and gives you double the space for half the cost…a true Bargain Basement! We’ll throw in a staircase to get you there, 100 year old clerestory windows to bring in the light, a finished concrete floor just like the one above, heating, cooling, and electricity.
If you want to add a bathroom, we can help. We want you to be able to use this bonus space in whatever way you’ve envisioned, so we have designed two options for downstairs bathrooms.
3 Make a reservation:
Like anything unique, once you’ve found what you want, it’s important to make sure you get it before someone else discovers it…and with only 20 lofts and flats offered in this first phase of Steelhouse lofts, we suggest you come by soon.
Only $1,500 holds your chosen loft and is completely refundable until we go to signed contracts, right before construction begins.

Our team of experts in kitchen and home design have pulled together selections that make it easy and fun to customize your loft. And if you want to add even more options, we have a kitchen and bath designer from Alno who will work with you to add any of the specialty features offered by this leading European company.
